IPL Photofacial implies that skin is restored to a more youthful and undamaged state, by using the light source therapy. Pigmentary and vascular irregularities are a result of age, sun damage, and other genetic and environmental factors. The improvements in skin texture such as fine lines and rough skin are also observed following a series of Skin Rejuvenation treatments.

IPL treatment may improve the appearance of photo aged skin by clearing the superficial pigmented and vascular lesions, and thus improving the skin texture. However, the degree of improvement and the number of sessions required vary in patients with different photo aging severity.
